OOIDA’s touring tractor-trailer rolls into Gary, Ind.

Jon Osburn, skipper of the Spirit of the American Trucker, plans to be at the Gary Petro truck stop July 19-20. The truck stop is on I-90/I-80 at Exit 9.

Gary is on Lake Michigan, and it is adjacent to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The city is about 25 miles from downtown Chicago.

At the last stop in Rochelle, Ill., Jon said he signed up a lot of members, more than 150. The membership dues special running this month lets people join or renew for $25.

All new and renewing memberships are eligible, and multiple years can be paid at this rate. Through the end of July, the cost for Lifetime Memberships is $25 multiplied by the member’s years until 65 (minimum $100).
