Another state is taking the initiative to address the truck parking problem by asking drivers for input.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is conducting a survey that is available at the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Foundation’s website.

Assisted by the American Transportation Research Institute, MnDOT is trying to better understand truck parking issues. The best way to do this is to ask the drivers themselves. ATRI has reached out to OOIDA to gather information from small business owners and professional drivers.

Truckers can take the survey at OOIDA Foundation’s website by clicking here.

Responses to the survey will be kept strictly confidential and will only be reported in aggregate form. According to MnDOT, under no circumstances will the department release any personal or organizational information.

The deadline to take this survey is April 30.
