Drivers wanted. For a survey, anyway. The American Transportation Research Institute is seeking motor carriers to participate in its annual Operational Costs of Trucking report.

Now in its 11th edition, the Operational Costs of Trucking report collects information from fleet operations for what ATRI claims “is among its most requested research reports.” Carriers use the report as a benchmarking tool, while government agencies use the information to make better-informed transportation and infrastructure decisions.

In order to provide the most accurate data, ATRI needs as many participants as possible to provide information. The survey seeks data on driver pay, fuel costs, insurance premiums and lease or purchase payments. Participants will also be asked to provide full-year 2018 cost per mile and/or cost per hour data.

Deadline for the survey is June 14. All confidential information is protected. Those taking the survey will also receive an advanced copy of the report once completed.
