Will the real unemployment rate please stand up? The FMCSA grants a three-month waiver for certain pre-employment screening; and take the cannoli, leave the kid – it’s today’s news in trucking.


II. Protests put focus on truckers’ personal safety

As the nation grapples with civil unrest in the wake of George Floyd’s death, truckers are grappling with safety concerns. We’ll hear from one driver who decided to stay on her side of the border – and then started a conversation about trusting your instincts, planning ahead and supporting other drivers.


III. Truck maintenance and your insurance

You always want to make sure you’re keeping up with maintenance on your truck and trailer. We’ll explain why that’s especially true in the summer heat – and how it can affect your insurance.


IV. A trucker-friendly highway bill

The proposed highway bill in the House appears to be perhaps the most trucker-friendly produced in recent memory. We’ll have more details of the legislation and what they might mean to you.
