A small-business loan program was given hundreds of billions by Congress to help those firms keep operating – but it may be too late for some to take part.

OOIDA says truckers need a seat at the White House table; thousands of U.S. bridges need major repairs or replacement; and more free parking than a Monopoly board – it’s today’s news in trucking.

II. No small business on president’s trucking panel

A group set up by the president to guide trucking’s part in getting the economy moving again has no representation from small-business truckers.


III. Governor acts alone on cap-and-trade

Oregon’s governor is setting up a cap-and-trade plan, something the legislature has failed to do over several years. Also, a new rule is designed to help truckers with roundabouts in Washington state.


IV. Small business loan program goes dry

Congress recently set aside hundreds of billions of dollars to support small businesses with loans – but some of those businesses may be out of luck. Also, what’s next as the nation struggles with the pandemic.
