I. Today’s news with Terry Scruton

The IRS extends this year’s income tax deadline. A new study says automated vehicles could come with some new problems. And happy birthday, dear road mess, happy birthday to you!

II. More help on getting your own authority

For several weeks, the OOIDA Foundation has been producing a series of free, online classes that explain the various steps in getting your own authority. We’ll tell you about the newest offering in that series. Also, attorneys for truckers see a lot of the same problems over and over. And in many cases, a simply step on the part of the trucker could eliminate the problems involved.

III. Weather, fuel, rates and more

Jon Osburn is without his favorite truck show. But he is in Kentucky, talking with truckers about weird weather, fuel prices, freight rates and a few issues in our nation’s capital that deserve truckers’ attention.
