  • OOIDA has issued a Call to Action: HOS Comment Period Officially Open, Listening Sessions Announced. The comment period is now open for the FMCSA’s proposed changes to the hours of service regulations. Comments are due by Oct. 7. And the FMCSA will conduct a two-hour listening session on proposed changes to the hours of service from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in room C146 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center during the Great American Trucking Show.

The comment period on proposed changes to the hours of service rules is finally open. Terry Scruton talks about that plus OOIDA testimony before the Small Business Administration with OOIDA’s Director of Federal Affairs Jay Grimes.

Voters in Washington state will decide whether to roll back “car tabs,” vehicle sales taxes and other fees. And a judge in Florida has turned back a state law to do away with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority. Mary McKenna gets the details from Land Line Magazine’s Keith Goble.
