Truckers do their part to feed the hungry across the country

LLN (4/29/19) – OOIDA truckers are doing their part to help feed the hungry. They’re working in their own backyards, as well as across the country. We’ll take you behind the scene to find out what it takes to make a magazine. And following the tragic fatal crash in Colorado, we’ll discuss OOIDA’s push for better entry-level driver training. OOIDA wants more training time behind the wheel.

The truck driver who was arrested in connection with a deadly crash on Interstate 70 west of Denver last week appeared in court on Saturday. Four people were killed in the wreck.  Bail was set at $400,000 dollars and a new court date was set for May 3.

A trucking couple from Ohio has a new project aimed at fighting hunger in America. Mark Reddig talks with OOIDA member George Parker. Plus, OOIDA Senior Member Bryan Spoon updates us on efforts to make an Indiana program that takes rejected produce loads to food banks – go national.
