- Daimler Trucks North America is recalling 4,500 Freightliner and Western Star tractors because of a fuel line issue. The tractors in question are equipped with Cummins ISX15 and X15 engines. The recall affects model year 2017-2019 Freightliner 122SD, Cascadia, and Coronado and Western Star 4900 trucks. Cummins plans to start notifying owners Oct. 28. Find out more on NHTSA’s website.
- Autocar is recalling 297 terminal tractors with brake pedals that are improperly welded. Autocar will begin to notify affected truck owners this Thursday, Sept. 27th. Find out more here.

OOIDA marks its 45th year of fighting for the rights of truckers this year, and the big party to celebrate will be this weekend in Joplin, Mo. Mary McKenna talks with the Association’s Executive Vice President, Lewie Pugh. Also, every year, the Truckload Carriers Association asked drivers to name the best fleets to drive for. Mary finds out about this year’s contest from Jane Jazz-rou-wee of Carrier’s Edge.
