When can we expect rules on speed limiters, AEBs?
The Biden administration is out with its regulatory agenda for dozens of proposed rules across the government. These include plans from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, which still has its heart set on several trucking rules – from speed limiters to automatic emergency braking systems and more. But what will come of them, with the upcoming change in administrations? Mark Schremmer of Land Line Magazine joins Land Line Now to discuss.
Truckers still face big problems with lease-purchase
For some time on Land Line Now, we’ve told you about the Truck Leasing Task Force, a panel assembled by FMCSA to examine the lease-purchase business model. But even though that group is finishing up its work, there’s still a long way to go before we could possibly see some kind of regulatory fix for the problems involved. And while that’s in progress, truckers are still having problems. Tom Crowley and Aron Lynch of OOIDA’s Compliance Department go over what’s happening and offer some advice.
Truckers tell us their Christmas traditions
It’s that time of year again, when children sleep with visions of sugarplums and sleigh bells. Today, Land Line Now takes a trip to deep in our archives – to a time we did a story every year about truckers and their holiday traditions, the things they do with family and friends to celebrate the Christmas season. We’ll bring you one of those stories today.
