Fact check: Number of trucking H-2B visas is small
You may have heard the news, or even a few rumors, about a recent decision by the Department of Homeland Security to make some 64,000 additional H-2B visas available in the months to come. It’s sparked conversations – and some angst – about foreign workers, truck driving jobs and more. But the facts are far less controversial than they may appear. Land Line Magazine’s Tyson Fisher explains what’s reality and what’s just plain false.
You don’t have to file beneficial ownership information – for now
The end of the year is usually a time to slow down a bit, but the trucking industry didn’t get the memo. A number of headlines broke this week, from court battles over beneficial ownership information reporting and Advanced Clean Cars regulations to a new rule on junk fees. Tyson Fisher and Mark Schremmer of Land Line Magazine join Land Line Now to break down some of the biggest stories in trucking right now.
Trucking Christmas Carols

We’ll have some of those for you today.
Avoid those ill-considered truck detours
OOIDA tour truck driver Marty Ellis has noticed a trend or sorts – trucks that find a main route blocked for one reason or another, then take an ill-advised detour. He says, however, that it’s worse than it has to be due to a lack of signage.
