The hours of service reform that’s been in the works for several years is creeping toward the finish line. Also, offering facts and advice on coronavirus.

II. Hours of service changes ever closer
The hours of service reform that’s been in the works for several years is very close to the finish line. Also, the FMCSA schedules a Truck Safety Summit; the DOT opens a new online “portal” where you can read regulatory guidance; and a study looks at crimes against female and minority truckers.
III. Lane rules may change
Several states are considering new rules for what traffic can use what lanes on our nation’s highways. And while many proposals are about all traffic, some target trucks. Also, information about upcoming truck shows.
IV. Getting through the coronavirus scare
As people hear the latest news on the coronavirus, it’s causing some to overreact. We’ll offer the facts and advise some basic precautions. Also, a number of overweight fines in Indiana have cost some truckers a bundle of money – sometimes years after the fact.
