There’s a growing trend in trucking toward modifying trucks to be a little more retro than your average shiny chrome show truck. There’s even a term that goes along with it – rat rods. Mark Reddig and our producer, Barry Spillman, will find out from Bryan Martin of the Chrome Shop Mafia.

The truck parking problem is one that isn’t getting better anytime soon – in spite of numerous companies and places trying to help. One hurdle they run into is people who don’t want trucks parking in their town – not in my backyard, as the saying goes. Mark Reddig talks about that and more with Jon Osburn, driver of OOIDA’s Spirit of the American Trucker. See Jon’s full schedule, “The Spirit” Schedule.
On Monday the Federal Highway Administration is planning a meeting to discuss the growing truck parking problem. Terry Scruton gets the details from Jay Grimes of OOIDA’s Washington, D.C., office.
