I. Today’s news with Terry Scruton

More masks are on the way courtesy of the FMCSA; Michigan is closing restroom and parking facilities at some welcome centers; and a trucking company goes above and beyond to take care of its drivers – it’s today’s news in trucking.

II. Megaloads require more than a few extra axles

When your job is to haul a 1.27 million pound megaload, you are bound to face a few challenges. For a Texas firm, there was really just one – getting a massive fracking tower over a bridge that just couldn’t bear the weight. We’ll explain how they did it.

III. Intermodal can affect your insurance

If you haul containers, you need to be familiar with the Uniform Intermodal Interchange Agreement. It can have a big impact, including on your truck insurance.

IV. Truck parking, other issues, still moving forward

While everyone is coping with the COVID-19 crisis, OOIDA continues to work on some important issues – including efforts to expand truck parking.
