This year’s election will be different from any other we’ve seen. Meanwhile, a group of veterans does their part to make sure it goes well.

I. Today’s news with Terry Scruton

The FMCSA wants to hear from trucking on autonomous technology; demonstrators slow down traffic in several cities; and an un-bear-able Halloween visitor – it’s today’s news in trucking.

II. Veterans serve again during election

In a week, this year’s Truckers for Troops Telethon will raise money to support our troops and veterans. But tomorrow, some of those veterans will serve their country again, this time at the polling place. Also, making good trucking policy depends on having reliable facts. And the OOIDA Foundation spends a lot of time gather that information, including two upcoming surveys.

III. Land Line Magazine looks back on 2004

There’s been no shortage of trucking stories to cover in 2020, so why does the new issue of Land Line Magazine start out with a focus on 2004?

IV. Election preview – this one will be different

Tomorrow is Election Day, but a far different one than any of us has ever seen. We’ll have a preview of that, plus the latest on hours of service.
