Jon Osburn, skipper OOIDA’s touring tractor-trailer, plans to spend the weekend in Morris, Ill., and then head for a couple of days in Wilmington, Ill.

The Spirit of the American Trucker is scheduled to be at the TA truck stop at I-80 and Route 47 July 21-23. The truck stop is at Exit 112B.

After Morris, Jon plans to be at the Petro in Wilmington July 24-25. After that he heads for the TopGun LargeCar Shootout truck show in Rantoul, Ill.

Jon and his canine copilot, Sassi, left for Morris from Gary, Ind. He said while there he fielded many questions about ag exemptions for hours of service, and he had a surprising number of bee haulers come over to talk with him.

Whenever you see The Spirit tour truck, go say hello to Jon. He enjoys visiting about the Association’s activities and current issues.

You also can join or renew your OOIDA membership there. Through the end of this month, annual dues are $20 off. All new and renewing memberships are eligible at this rate of $25 per year, and multiple years can be paid at this rate. Add $10 for a spouse and/or for each additional driver.

Also, you can get vouchers for flu, shingles and pneumonia vaccines from Jon at The Spirit.
