OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck driving excellence:

• Lonnie L. Byers of Ozark, Ark., has been recognized for 49 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• William H. Newlin of Winchester, Va., has been recognized for 47 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Jerry Northam of Camden Wyoming, Del., has been recognized for 43 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Keith Jibben of Graceville, Minn., has been recognized for 38 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Dennis Lee Johnson of Clark, S.D., has been recognized for 37 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Kevin Kocmich of Litchfield, Minn., has been recognized for 28 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Chuck E. Winborn III of Birmingham, Ala., has been recognized for 26 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• David W. Carr of Starkville, Miss., has been recognized for 22 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Lewie Pugh of Freeport, Ohio, has been recognized for 22 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Mark Andrew Donaldson of Virden, Ill., has been recognized for 22 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Leo Johnson of Philadelphia, Pa., has been recognized for 20 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• J. Scott Farley of Sioux City, Iowa, has been recognized for 19 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Gabriel Michael of Hayden, Colo., has been recognized for 19 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Bill E. Ater Jr. of Arlington, Texas, has been recognized for 18 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Frank S. Nathanson of Manalapan, N.J., has been recognized for 16 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Sharon Kathleen Rogers of Grants Pass, Ore., has been recognized for 15 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Garfield Harper Jr. of Westampton, N.J., has been recognized for 14 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Mark Miller of Ravenna, Ohio, has been recognized for 14 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Thomas Lynn of Mattawan, Mich., has been recognized for 14 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Samuel G. Robbins of Des Moines, Iowa, has been recognized for 11 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Billy J. Haarhues of Elizabeth, Colo., has been recognized for 10 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Chuck J. Lowitz of Tucson, Ariz., has been recognized for eight years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Matthew Stephens of Murrayville, Ga., has been recognized for eight years of safe, crash-free driving.

The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, crash-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable crash.
