OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck driving excellence:

• Samuel V. Holder of Park Forest, Ill., has been recognized for 49 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Daniel P. Gaither of Longmont, Colo., has been recognized for 41 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Stu Hochfelder of Bourbonnais, Ill., has been recognized for 41 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Eddie R. Hood of Muncie, Ind., has been recognized for 33 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Alan D. Asbridge of Quincy, Ill., has been recognized for 31 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Gary W. Kaufman of Saint Charles, Mo., has been recognized for 28 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Cindy Lynn Lackland of Howard, Colo., has been recognized for 28 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Harold Parker of Pensacola, Fla., has been recognized for 28 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Albert H. Elkins IV of West, Texas, has been recognized for 27 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Rod C. Abrams of Dayton, Ohio, has been recognized for 21 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Mark Andrew Donaldson of Virden, Ill., has been recognized for 21 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Harry A. Fleck of Port Allegany, Pa., has been recognized for 16 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Red L. Savage of Fort Worth, Texas, has been recognized for 15 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• George R. Kern of Topeka, Kan., has been recognized for 14 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Chuck Paar of Mount Jewett, Pa., has been recognized for 12 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Stephen Wade Sommer of New River, Ariz., has been recognized for 11 years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Jack Tanner of Smethport, Pa., has been recognized for seven years of safe, crash-free driving.
• Damien Goff of Lynchburg, Va., has been recognized for six years of safe, crash-free driving.

The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, crash-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable crash.
