The Owner-Operator Independent Driver’s Association welcomes Bryce Mongeon to the Washington, D.C., office as director of legislative affairs. He will share responsibility in advancing the Association’s government affairs agenda on behalf of OOIDA members.

Mongeon is originally from Mountaintop, Pa. and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from Colgate University.

He most recently worked as director of government relations for the National Utility Contractors Association. There he led activities related to water and other underground infrastructure improvements, collaborating with coalitions and interacting with Congress and federal agencies. Before that, he was senior legislative assistant for former Rep. Charles Dent and served in other positions, having worked his way up from staff assistant.

“It’s great to have him on board,” said OOIDA Manager of Government Affairs Mike Matousek. “He brings creativity and writing skills to our D.C. team, but especially a balance of experience having worked for a trade organization as well as spending several years in the office of a lawmaker.

OOIDA’s Washington office is staffed by Senior Director of Legislative Affairs Collin Long, Director of Federal Affairs Jay Grimes and Director of Security Operations Doug Morris. OOIDA’s advocacy efforts are led by Mike Matousek, manager of government affairs.
