‘Live From Exit 24’ moves to prime time
The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association wants feedback from its more than 150,000 members about the trucking issues that matter the most.
To get that feedback, OOIDA launched an hourlong internet talk show, “Live From Exit 24,” about a year ago. Now, to better accommodate its members, the live talk show has been moved to prime time.
Starting in August, “Live From Exit 24” is being broadcast at 7 p.m. Central on every other Wednesday. The show had been at 11 a.m. Central every other Wednesday.
“It’s our way to communicate with members, so we’re trying to make it better based on the feedback we get,” “Live From Exit 24” Host Mike Matousek said. “It’s for you. It’s for drivers on the road to share information and provide feedback to the Association.”
OOIDA Executive Vice President Lewie Pugh, who is a frequent guest on the show, said “Live From Exit 24” was created with the members in mind.
“Please call in, send us messages,” Pugh said. “We want to make the show better. We want to make the show about things you want to hear about and things you want to talk about. Mainly, we want feedback from our members. We send you information all the time. We need to hear back from you, and that’s one of the biggest reasons we created this show.”
Listeners can tune in to the show on the “Live From Exit 24” website, OOIDA Facebook page, OOIDA’s YouTube channel, iHeartRadio and Apple Podcasts. To participate, call 317-676-6432 during the show. For those who can’t catch it live, the episodes are archived at the show’s website.
This month, “Live From Exit 24” has shows scheduled for Oct. 6 and Oct. 20. LL
