  • Jumpin’ Jamboree

    October 01, 2023 |

Tens of thousands of people attended this year’s Walcott Truckers Jamboree at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop, more than the previous year.

The 44th Walcott Truckers Jamboree attracted more than 46,000 people from nearly 30 different states and two Canadian provinces. Drivers from Arizona, Alabama, North Carolina and Canada traveled the farthest. More than 100 trucks competed in the Super Truck Beauty Contest.

As always, the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association was present with its Spirit of the American Trucker tour truck. OOIDA CEO Todd Spencer was the captain behind the wheel this year. Spencer spent time talking to several truckers about a variety of issues plaguing the industry.

The Walcott Truckers Jamboree also included 150 exhibitors, 100 antique trucks and trailers on display, Trucker Olympics, a pork chop cookout, the 100th birthday of the 1923 Mack AB truck, a trucker’s best friend pet contest, live music and fireworks.

The next Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be held July 11-13, 2024.
