Truck drivers who are working on Thanksgiving will have some opportunities to receive a free meal for the holiday.

For the sixth consecutive holiday season, Meals for 18 Wheels will provide Thanksgiving meals to truckers on the road Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23.

The Meals for 18 Wheels Facebook page will share a post for drivers to provide their locations. Once the group has a driver’s whereabouts, Meals for 18 Wheels will attempt to connect a driver with one of its volunteers across the United States.

In previous years, the group has provided hundreds of meals to truck drivers on Thanksgiving.

There will also be a couple of truck stops offering free Thanksgiving meals to truckers.

The Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza is offering free turkey dinners on Nov. 22 to all truck drivers with a valid commercial driver’s license.

The meal will include turkey and stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and cornbread.

The Boise Stage Stop, 23801 S. Orchard Access Road in Boise, Idaho, will also offer truck drivers a free Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 22 as part of the truck stop’s annual Driver Appreciation Day.

All truck drivers with a valid CDL will receive a free Thanksgiving dinner from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. MST. In addition, the business will be raffling off prizes for drivers.
