Do you have questions on the complex and often thorny hours-of-service rules? Maybe a better question would be – are there any truckers who wouldn’t like expert clarification on one area or another?

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration invites CDL holders to brush up on hours-of-service rules with a live question and answer session – one on Oct. 19 and another on Oct. 24.

According to agency spokesman Duane DeBruyne, there is a limit on participants, but the plan is to record it and make the playback available on the FMCSA’s website.

Handling questions live will be FMCSA subject expert Tom Yager, chief of the Driver and Carrier Operations Division, and Peter Chandler, lead transportation specialist in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Passenger Carrier Division.

This hour-long session will allow participants the opportunity to submit HOS related questions and have them answered by FMCSA’s HOS subject matter experts. Participants may email their questions in advance of the live question and answer session to NTCHost@dot.gov or submit their questions during the session.

There are two participation options for each session. Choose the option that works best for you and register to receive the participation information.
