Deer are on the move – watch out!

October 7, 2019

Deer mating season is underway, which means the chances of hitting one is way up. The Virginia Department of Transportation offers some advice that applies about anywhere: slow down around deer warning signs; be especially careful between dusk and dawn; if you see a deer, don’t veer into oncoming traffic or off the road; always wear your seat belt. And if you hit one, contact law enforcement.
